Obituary:
Sue Knapman (July 7, 1956 – October 20, 2014
Sue was an exceptional unique woman. Many may remember seeing her on daily walks with her beautiful German Shepherd, Sam. Sue touched people deeply. She had class and style, and if you met her, you never forgot her. In turn, she would never forget you. Her generous spirit was larger than life. She was compassionate, loving and very, very funny. Sue greeted the world with kindness, respect, humor and honesty.
Sue lived many lives in the far too short time she was with us. In the United Kingdom, she worked in the music industry. She also started her own business, an outdoor pursuit center, where people came to experience nature and outdoor activities. Her favorite guests were inner city teens at risk. Later, Sue worked for the British government in what we would call the “Unemployment Office.” She went above and beyond her job description to help applicants find work. In Ukiah, she remodeled homes with her husband and best friend, Wayne Otton.
Sue met her beloved husband, Wayne, on April 16, 1992. From that day on, they were inseparable, and began what Wayne refers to as their “twenty-two year adventure.” Sue was fearless, and they traveled extensively to both well-known as well as out of the way locations. Their life together was one of love, devotion, commitment and pure joy. They were best friends who could finish each other’s sentences, share a joke without having to say a word, and be perfectly content to just sit quietly together. They were married on April 16, 2001 in Las Vegas, exactly nine years from the day they first met.
In 2002, Sue and Wayne immigrated to Tennessee where Wayne had an engineering job waiting for him. For the next nine years, they traveled and explored the United States. In 2011, a new engineering job brought them to Ukiah. Although they have lived here for only four years, they have made many friends, in great part due to Sue’s vibrant, outgoing and curious spirit.
Sue will return to the Welsh valleys she so loved to be buried near her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, her loving husband, Wayne, and her devoted dog, Sam.

Our hearts are broken to hear the very sad news of our beautiful friend Sue. Sue was the funniest, most loving and caring friend that you could ever wish to meet. I can honestly say I have never met anyone one like her and probably never will again. She was one of a kind. I know our lives will never be the same without her. Our sincere condolences go to her loving husband Wayne and Sam her faithful friend. Sue you truly are a beautiful friend and you will remain in our thoughts and hearts forever. You are loved more than words can say. Rest in peace my little darling. Love you forever Susanne and Nikk. xx

I am deeply shoked to read about a wonderful woman I met while working for walgreens. I always looked forward to hear her say "Hello Love " and we would talk about the UK. I am truly sad about the loss this amazing woman I only knew for a short time.
