Obituary:
Judy C. Babcock, 59, of Hopland passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Judy was born in Ukiah, August 26, 1950.
Judy lived in Mendocino County her whole life, graduating from Ukiah High School. She received the Ukiah High School Secretary of the year in 1968. Judy worked as a medical office administrator for many years.
She was proud of raising two beautiful daughters and being married to her high school sweetheart for 31 years and of having a best friend for over 40 years Gina Clark.
She was Past President of Yokayo Theta Rho, past member of Cornelia Rebekah Lodge and a past Hopland 4-H Leader.
Judy’s would say. “When life throws you scraps, make a quilt.”
She is survived by her daughters Tiffany Biaggi and her husband Devon of Hopland and Tamara Babcock of Hopland, brother Larry E. Hays of Hebo, Or., grandchildren Joshua Michael Biaggi and Mason Andrew Biaggi of Hopland. Judy was preceded in death by her husband George M. Babcock in August of 2000, father Hector R. Hays in December of 2002 and her mother Madgie M. Hays in January of 2004.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Eversole Mortuary from 11 am – 7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Eversole Mortuary at 2pm with the graveside at the Hopland Cemetery at 3:30 pm.
