Obituary:
James Raymond Bettega Sr. passed away on July 29, 2016 in Round Valley, Ca. James was born September 14, 1932 in Santa Rosa, Ca. James lived his whole life in Round Valley.
James was a Millwright for Louisiana Pacific, a Round Valley Health Board member and a Round Valley Tribal council member.
He was most proud of his family; they will remember his hard work ethics, his sense of humor and his passion for Tribal politics to the fullest. James was a Protestant.
James is survived by his wife Virginia Mae Bettega, sons James Bettega Jr., Carlos Bettega and Carlino Bettega, sisters Barbra Brown, Marlene Bauer, Carole Hasley, Marion Betts and Emma Betts, grandchildren Tracy Bettega, Virginia “Gin” Bettega, Tricia Bettega, Shareen “Sally” Rosales, Kimberly Bettega-Franco, Misty Hawkins, Toni Bettega, Candice Hawkins, Teresa Bettega, Danielle Bettega, Nicole Hawkins, Rudi Bettega, Carlos Bettega Sr., Chris Bettega and Lacey Bettega, 39 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. James was preceded in death by his parents Francis Tillitson and Luigi Bettega, brothers Virgil Bettega and Edwin “Bunny” Bettega and his daughter Kelley Sue Bettega.
A visitation will start on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Round Valley Methodist Church. A funeral will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 11:30 AM at the Round Valley Methodist Church, burial will follow at the Headquarter Cemetery.
