Obituary:
Henry Brooks, 87, of Ukiah passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at his home. Henry was born November 10, 1922 in Lake County.
Henry was an accountant for Alex Thomas and Co. He was proud of his family, couching his sons in baseball, vacations with family and working to build St. Mary’s school. He was dedicate, hardworking, always honest and devoted to his family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church Parish.
Henry served his country in the United States Navy, with the Navy he crossed the Atlantic several times, providing off shore naval support on D-day.
Henry is survived by his daughters Pat Brooks Ford and Joan Brooks Bell of Ukiah, sons Tom Brooks of Santa Barbara, Ca. and David Brooks of Elk Grove, Ca, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Jean Brooks in 2003.
A Rosary services will be on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 7:00 PM at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, a Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Entombment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Henry’s name may be made to Phoenix Hospice or St. Mary’s School.
