Obituary:
Terry W. Cannon, 62, passed away on October 4,2016 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Terry was born on March 5, 1954 in Porterville, California, the son of the late Marvin and Maud Cannon, who moved the family to Redwood Valley in 1958.
A 1972 graduate of Ukiah High School, he also graduated from Mendocino College in 1974, and San Jose State University in 1978. He worked as an accountant at Marriott’s Great America for 6 years, and then moved into construction accounting in San Francisco, and later in Phoenix, Arizona.
A polio survivor, he never let his disabilities stop him from doing things he loved, including attending Fall League baseball, and making costumed appearances for charity with the Rebel Legion Star Wars costuming club in Arizona.
He is preceded in death by a son, Samuel Cannon, and a brother, John Cannon. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jan Marie (Minton) of Scottsdale; two grandsons, Tyler Cannon of Louisville, KY and Jacob Cannon of Richmond, KY; brothers Scotty Cannon of Redwood Valley, Dale Cannon of Gold Hill, Oregon, Gail Cannon of Apache Junction, AZ; and sisters Jenny Brashear of Chico, Lee O’Bryant of Fort Bragg, Mary Kennedy of Lake County, and Julia Wood of Ukiah.
Funeral services will held on Thursday, October 13, at 1:00 PM at Eversole Mortuary.
