Patricia Joy Chadwick
August 7, 1952-July 17, 2017
Patricia Joy Chadwick, 64, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 in Ukiah surrounded by her family. She was married to her beloved husband, Raymond Chadwick for 41 years.
Patsy was born in Santa Rosa on August 7, 1952, the daughter of James and Lucille (Johnson) McKinney. Her family resided in Alamogordo, New Mexico during much of Patsy’s early childhood before relocating to Melbourne, Florida where her father was employed at Cape Canaveral. Patsy graduated from Eau Galle High School and attended the University of Florida during her freshman year. In 1971 she moved to California and subsequently graduated from The University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Anthropology. Patsy taught exercise and crafts classes for seniors at the Ukiah Adult School for over 25 years. She was an accomplished artist specializing in oil painting and served as President of The Mendocino County Art Association. She dearly loved her friendships with fellow artists.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Raymond of Ukiah, her children, daughter Maureen Faulk of Sebastopol and her husband, Mike, son Jordan of Walnut Creek and her brother Ralph McKinney of Dublin, Ireland as well as 8 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Colleen Johnson and John and James McKinney.
A celebration of Patsy’s life will be held August 5, 2017 at The Ukiah Senior Center’s Bartlett Hall at 499 Leslie St. in Ukiah from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cancer Resource Center of Mendocino County, 590 S. Dora St. Ukiah CA 95482.
