Catherine Joanne Cortez Feliz
Catherine Joanne Cortez Feliz passed away, at the age of 58, on January 9, 2017, in Ukiah, California. She was born September 2, 1958, in North Hollywood, California. Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Auntie and friend, Cathy had a tell-it-like-it-is personality whose generous spirit, touched and made a difference in the lives of so many. She enjoyed her music, frequent road trips to Reno with her Husband, and had a dedicated passion for the Hawaiian Islands. She was a proud member of the Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake Tribe, and a resident of the Coyote Valley Reservation.
Known for her beautiful personality, smile and youthful energy, Cathy was the heart of the family unit, devoting every bit of herself to her family, especially her grandchildren. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her friends and relatives. She is survived by her Husband of 41 years, John Feliz, Sr., Daughter, Jennifer Feliz, Son, John Feliz, Jr., and Grandchildren Jacob DeLosSantos, Jasmine Mora, Alec Mora, Jasper Ford, and Jada Ford, and Father-in Law, Necho Feliz, all of Redwood Valley, Sister, Angeline Campbell of Redwood Valley, Cynthia Jean Torres (Efren) of Sacramento, and Hiram O. Campbell , Jr. (Nina), of Santa Rosa, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
She is preceded in death by her biological parents, Richard F. Cortez and Betty-Jean Treppa; her parents Rose Marie Card Dulay and Leonardo Ramos Dulay; Brother Richard Cortez, Jr.
Friends and family are welcome to the public viewing and visitation, which will be at the family residence from 5 PM on Friday, January 13th thru Sunday, January 15th, at 7751 North State Street, Lot 6, on the Coyote Valley Reservation. Final funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, on Monday, January 16, 2017, at Eversole Mortuary in Ukiah, California. She will be cremated following funeral services, there will be no graveside services. All are invited to a celebration of life luncheon for Cathy that will take place immediately following the funeral services at the Coyote Valley Gymnasium on the Coyote Valley Reservation.
Flowers may be sent to the family residence at 7751 North State Street, Lot 6, Coyote Valley Reservation, Redwood Valley, CA.
