Dana Claire Galletti, 81, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, following complications from surgery.

Born on June 22, 1945, in Santa Rosa, California, Dana spent her early childhood on the beautiful Mendocino Coast before graduating from Point Arena High School in 1963. On February 20, 1965, she married the love of her life, Ron Galletti. Together they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage and built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and adventure. They truly enjoyed doing life together, creating countless memories while traveling to Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, New York, and later Mexico with their children.

Dana devoted over twenty years to the children of the Ukiah Unified School District, where she worked as a teacher's aide and in the before and after school daycare program. She touched the lives of countless students by helping them learn to read, comforting them through difficult moments, reminding them to "change it up" when emotions got the best of them, and making every child feel seen, valued, and loved. That was Dana's gift. She had an incredible ability to make every person she met feel important, accepted, and deeply loved.

Family was the center of Dana's world. She never missed an opportunity to support her children, faithfully attending every game, performance, school event, and milestone, no matter what they were involved in. As her family grew, so did her joy. She treasured every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, celebrating their accomplishments and simply enjoying being together.

Some of Dana's greatest happiness came from life's simple pleasures. She loved planting flowers, decorating for every holiday, preparing meals for family gatherings, and sitting by the pool watching the kids laugh and swim. Those ordinary moments became extraordinary because she was there. Her home was always filled with warmth, love, and the feeling that everyone belonged.

Dana was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Irvin Ledford and Dolores Elizabeth Ledford, and her sister, Jeri Nissen.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Ron Galletti; her son, Warren Galletti and his wife, Jennifer; her daughter, Paige White and her husband, Hank; her sister, Tracy DuPont and her husband, John; her sister-in-law, Pamela Copeland and her brother-in-law Gary Nissen.

She was a proud grandmother to Franchesca and A.J. Lira, Vanessa Galletti, Natalie Galletti and Favian Barragan, Kyla and Andy Thompson, Emi Sherman, Nicholas and Emily White, and Casey and Dallas White. She is also survived by Krisie Galletti, the mother of Franchesca, Vanessa, and Natalie; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends, all of whom she adored and cherished.

Her treasured great-grandchildren include Lyla Galletti, Alaia Barragan, Bella Ortiz-Thompson, Scarlett and Theodore Thompson, and Hudson and Walker White.

If there is one thing everyone who knew Dana would agree on, it is that her greatest gift was her heart. She had an unmistakable spark for life that lit up every room she entered. Her smile was contagious, her laugh unforgettable, and her kindness endless. Dana also carried herself with effortless grace. She always looked beautiful, classy, and perfectly put together, no matter the occasion. Her elegance reflected the pride she took in herself and the respect she showed to those around her. She loved unconditionally and gave without ever expecting anything in return.

There are people who leave behind memories, and then there are people who leave behind a legacy of love. Dana was one of those rare people. There simply are not enough words to describe how special she was or the impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to know her. To know Dana was to love her, and more importantly, to be loved by her. She was the heart of our family, our safe place, our biggest cheerleader, and our greatest example of kindness, strength, and unconditional love.

While our hearts are broken beyond words, we are forever grateful for the 81 years we were blessed to share with her. The love she gave so freely will continue to guide us every day. We will see her in every blooming flower, every family gathering around the table, every child's laughter in the swimming pool, and every act of kindness shared with another.

She was simply the best. She was our home. She was our Mom, our Grandma, our Great-Grandma, our wife, our sister, our aunt and our friend. She was, and always will be, the heart of our family.

Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who went before her, and held forever in God's loving embrace.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
