David Mosedale

David Mosedale passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2024 at age 77. David was one of triplet boys born to Harold and Muriel Mosedale in Englewood NJ on May 10, 1946. David grew up in East Longmeadow MA where he graduated from high school. He later was inducted to the ELHS Athletic Hall of Fame for ice hockey. David graduated from Bryant College in Providence RI earning a BS in Business Administration. After college and always looking for adventure, David followed his brother Ken to San Francisco and became a VISTA volunteer. David was not meant to work in an office so he followed his interest in carpentry by joining the carpenters union and helping to build the SF Childrens Zoo. Shortly after meeting Joan, his wife of 50 years, they moved to Lake Tahoe CA where David became a licensed general building contractor. During his Tahoe days he built and remodeled homes, skied, golfed, rock hunted, hot air ballooned, traveled, attended 49er games, enjoyed gourmet meals but most of all was thrilled with the birth of daughter, Erin. David and family moved to Santa Rosa CA where he continued his many interests and his construction business in Sonoma and Marin counties. After retirement David and his wife moved to Ukiah CA to enjoy life near their daughter and two grandsons. He was known for his lively conversations and many sayings such as "organization is the key to easy living." David is greatly missed by his wife Joan, daughter Erin, grandsons Aiden and Jaxon, brother Kenneth Mosedale and wife Irene, sister Linda Johnston and husband Jack, in-laws Barbara Moreno, Tom Waddock, Anna Harrison, many nieces and nephews and friends. David was predeceased by his parents, sister Marcia Leven, brother Robert Mosedale and brother-in-law Richard Moreno. Services will be private.
