David William Phillips died suddenly on September 29, 2026. A life long resident of Hopland he was lovingly referred to as the Mayor of Hopland. David served in the U.S. Coast Guard after graduating from high school, he was very proud. He then trained to work with heavy equipment and was highly regarded in the field. He was also part of the Hopland Volunteer Fire Department for many years. David was predeceased by his parents Arvel and Lillian Phillips. He is survived by his brothers Ricky Phillips of Kelseyville as well as his nieces and nephew, Aunt Judy Ribardo of Sparks, Necada, many cousins and hisdear friends in Hopland. Internment in Hopland Cemetery and gathering to be announced.
