Eugene L. Davis, 94, of Ukiah died September 24, 2018 in the house in which he was born. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Mary Lee, daughter Suzanne, son Jeffrey, sister Kathleen, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A World War II veteran, he served in the 118th Gun Battalion Unattached in Europe. He graduated from the University of Oregon in 1948 and returned to Ukiah in 1951 to join his father in operating Davis Appliance. His family remembers a kind, gentle man with a warm sense of humor and a continuing interest in the world around him. They are grateful for the care provided by Adventist Health Hospice.
