Necho Joseph Feliz, Jr., passed away, at the age of 94, on March 15, 2022 in Redwood Valley, California. Our Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Great-Great Grandfather, Uncle, and friend to many lived a full and long life of many experiences. Necho was a proud Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. He was also a former commander of the American Legion in Ukiah. Necho loved his family dearly, and cared for so many. A member of the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians, Necho cherished his cultural heritage and Pomo traditions. A long time bingo player, lover of his coffee, his many cats, enjoyed reading the newspaper and talking about current events. Our relative, so full of life, maintained his charm and humor each and every day. He was a man who always stayed busy and he will be greatly missed.
He survived by his Sister Esther Lockhart of Ukiah, Sons, Richard Feliz, Sr., and John Feliz, Sr. of Redwood Valley, Grandchildren Marc Feliz, Nathan Feliz, Sr., Jennifer Feliz, Levi Feliz, John Feliz, Jr., Necho Freeman, and Wes Feliz; numerous Great-Grandchildren, a Great- Great Grandchild, and numerous Nieces, Nephews and extended relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents Mandy Knight and Necho Feliz, Sr., wife Gertrude Feliz, and Jean Simms, daughter June Feliz, son Frank Feliz, grand-daughter Alexis Freeman, sisters Carol Vedolla, Catherine San Diego, Ruby Pollard, Elizabeth Feliz, and Theresa Feliz, and brothers Leslie Feliz, Robert Feliz and George Feliz.
Family and friends are invited to the family residence at 121 Campbell Dr., Coyote Valley Reservation, in Redwood Valley for viewing beginning Sunday March 20 at 2 PM, through Wednesday March 23 at 9 AM. Funeral services will be held at Eversole Mortuary Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 3 PM. There will be no graveside services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
