Daniel George Gamble of Potter Valley, CA passed away 12/10/19 at the young age of 68 years old from compilations of pneumonia in beautiful St. Helena surrounded by family.
Dan moved to Potter Valley when he was 9 years old and has never left. He graduated from Ukiah High in 1969 and he went right to work. He started working for His brother at the age of 16 for Keene Pallet Industries where he was able to move his family on site and run the mill around the clock. He met his beautiful wife, Kathleen Gamble in 1977 and swept her off her feet, or should I say took her for the ride of her lifetime. They fell in love instantly and the rest was history. They raised together 4 amazing children, Christopher Gamble of Potter Valley, Jennifer (Sergei) Gamble of Potter Valley, Danelle (Dennis) Keeton of Potter Valley, Sharon (Loren) Powers of Redwood Valley, Daughter-in-law Leah Burglund of Laytonville and his amazing grandchildren Makena, Logan, Casey, Cayden, Maci, Ava, Vincent, Jessa, Daniel, Megan and Amanda with 6 Great Grand Children. Dan loved each and everyone of them. He was a father figure to more than just his kids and always had an open door policy.
Dan was survived by his wife of 40 years Kathleen Gamble, His Children and grandchildren, Brothers Robert (Roberta) Gamble of San Jose Ca, Gary (Jean) Gamble of Sparks Nv, Brother-in-law Bruce (Carolyn) Treadaway of Ripon Ca, Sister-in-law Shelly (Ashley) Elmore of Potter Valley Ca and David (Jeri) Treadaway of Glennhaven Ca, Uncle Robert (Carol) Gamble as well as Many Nieces, Nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents Walter and Matilda Gamble and Sister Norma Hohl and his uncle Bud.
There will be a graveside service at the Potter Valley Cemetery December 21, 2019 at 11:00 am with a celebration to follow at the Potter Valley Rodeo Grounds. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Kathy and family to help with expenses during this time.
