Glenda Kay Smallcomb

Glenda Kay “Gramy” Smallcomb, born in 1938 in Nebraska, passed away peacefully in her home in Ukiah, California on May 19th, 2026.

Glenda was the definition of warmth, love, and family. Though many knew her by name, most simply knew her as “Gramy” — a title she wore proudly and one that extended far beyond her own family. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, loved, and cared for, earning her the reputation of being a grandmother to everybody she met.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Darol Smallcomb, who passed away in August 2002, and by her son, Kurt Smallcomb, who passed away in February 2025.

Glenda is survived by her son, Kevin Smallcomb, his spouse Julie, and their daughters Katie and Kyndle along with her cherished great-grandchildren Klary, Kallan, and Memphis. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Kristi Smallcomb, and granddaughters Kami and Kayle, grandson Quincy Cromer, as well as great-granddaughter Kyla. Glenda is also survived by her son Greg and grandsons Dylan, Nate, & Deron.

Glenda found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren beyond measure. Other than warmth, her home carried her love of music and film throughout the many shelves of CDs & DVDs. She could often be found enjoying episodes of The Price Is Right, reading mystery novels, cheering on her favorite sports teams (NY Yankees, SF 49ers, and Golden State Warriors), and faithfully rooting for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Her kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love created lasting memories for everyone fortunate enough to know her. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on through the family and friends whose lives she touched so deeply.

She will be dearly missed and forever remembered with love.
