Obituary:
Maria Esperanza Gonzales passed away peacefully at her home in Ukiah, California on September 01, 2017 at the age of 90 years old. She was born December 03, 1926 in Corona, California. She is survived by her daughters and sons, Cora, Carmen, Steve, Salvador, Raymond, RosaMaria, Maria, Lupe and Carlos. She had 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
María Esperanza married Esteban Gonzales on April 20, 1948 in Huanimaro, GTO Mexico. They moved to Sunnyvale, California in 1948 and then moved to Ukiah, California in 1960. She had a love for plants, flowers, gardening, cooking and raising chickens. Her greatest joy and love were also her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time sharing her funny stories and laughing at events or gatherings.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to her homecare helpers Alicia, Teresa, Connie and to Home Care and Hospice of Mendocino County for their support in her final days.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 12 noon to 7 p.m. at Eversole Mortuary with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 900 S. Oak St. Burial will immediately follow mass at Russian River Cemetery, 940 Low Gap Rd.
