Obituary:
Robert “Bob” C. Harvey, age 65 of Potter Valley, CA passed on December 23, 2017 at his home on the family ranch. Born on February 5, 1952 in Ukiah to Roberta and Clarence Harvey of Potter Valley, Bob was the fourth generation to live and ranch in the valley. He graduated from Potter Valley High School in 1970. He continued his education at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he received his B.A. in Ag Business. During this time he met his wife Betty Deaver and they were married in 1976.
Bob enjoyed raising livestock and hunting with his four children. He was an avid reader
and loved telling stories with family and friends. He was a member of the Potter Valley Fire Department for over 25 years. Bob worked as a millwright and electrician for Louisiana Pacific, Masonite, Mendocino Forest Products, and Sonoma County Water Agency.
He is survived by his wife Betty, four children, their significant others Betsy & Jody , Jakob & Maria, William & Erika, Ira, and grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at the Potter Valley Methodist Church on February 17, 2018 at 11am with a potluck lunch to follow (please bring a dish or dessert to share). In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to the Potter Valley Fire Department P.O. Box 46 Potter Valley, CA. or Potter Valley Methodist Church P.O. Box 69 Potter Valley, CA 95469.
