Shirley Maxine Hipes, 77, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 with her family present. Shirley was born January 8, 1940 in Idabel, Oklahoma. She lived locally for the past 67 years. Shirley attended school in Hopland and later worked as a caregiver.
Shirley liked traveling, camping and helping others. She will be remembered for spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends and being an advocate for animals.
Shirley is survived by her daughters Ronda Hipes of Ukiah and Lori Herbst of Arco, Idaho, sons Bobby Hipes of Arco, Idaho and Terry Hipes of Willits, Ca. sisters Delores Price of Medford, Or. and Wonnell Dawe of Ukiah, brother Jerry Diggs of Ukiah, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at Ukiah Cemetery.
