Ramona Rita Hoel-entered into rest September 30, 2016. Born February 8, 1937 to Marvin & Florenda Hansen in Redwood Valley, CA. Ramona is survived by her husband Fred of 57 years. They met while both serving int he U.S. Army working in the post office. Ramona is surveyed by her five children, Fred & Wife Jeanne Hoel, Ronald Hoel Sr., Robert & Gloria Hoel, Daughter Vicky & Husband Rod Espinoza, Randy & Wife Charmaine Hoel. Preceded in death by her parents Marvin & Florenda Hansen, sister Evangeline Martinez, Brothers John & Otis Hansen. Ramona is survived by siblings Mary Jane Nevarez, Frank Hansen, Ernest Hansen, Elizabeth Hansen, and Marvin Hansen. Ramona is survived by grandchildren James, Mark, Adam, Amanda, Steven, John, Matthew, Randy Jr, Ryan, Richard, Renee, Robyn, Ron Jr. Great grandchildren Aria, Brielle, Randy III, Jaycee, Andrew, Peleus, Abigail, Wyatt, and Elijah. Ramona was Tribal Chairperson for the Redwood Valley Rancheria for ten years. She was a Title IV teachers aid for Native American students for six years, she received an educators award in 1986. Ramona played softball for 1 Hour Martinizzing. Ramona was an avid basket weaver and taught some classes. Ramona enjoyed sewing and quilting and taught her granddaughters how to sew. She loved arts and crafts, loved country music and traveled across the states with her husband Fred. A recitation of the rosary will be Sunday Oct. 2nd at 7:30pm at the family home: 2238 Rancheria Road Redwood Valley, CA 95470. Church Services are Tuesday Oct. 4th at 11am, at the Faith Lutheran Church: 560 Park Blvd, Ukiah, CA 95482.
