Irene Grider

Irene Virginia Grider (nee Deghi) passed away on March 12, 2024, in Ukiah, California, at the age of 96. She was born on October 21, 1927, in Ukiah.
Irene, known to her loved ones as "Gram," was a farmer, grape grower, and dedicated housewife. She was a graduate of Ukiah High School. Irene had a passion for cooking, playing cards, and hard work. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Dutra, son-in-law Frank Dutra, grandchildren Bobby Cassells, Richard and Shirleen Dutra, and Jodi Dutra, as well as great-grandchildren Frankie Dutra, Brianna Bell, Victor Dutra, Chace Bazzano, Chiah Cassells Regina and Harbor Cassells. Irene was preceded in death by her father, Dan Deghi, mother Teresa Deghi and daughter Sharon Cassells.
A service to honor Irene's life will be held on Tuesday, March 26, at 11 am at Ukiah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Sons of Italy in her memory.
