Obituary:
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Julia Jackson Temple on Feb 27, 2015 at the age of 74, in Ukiah, Ca. Julia was born April 1940 to Clie & Myrtle Simon of Baird, Texas. Julia started working at Ukiah Unified School District in 1966. She worked in food service as an assistant cook at Redwood Valley Elementary and later as a baker at Ukiah High School until retiring in 2000 after 34 years.
Julia was predeceased by Edwin Jackson, her first husband in 1990. William K. Temple her second husband in 2008.
Left to cherish her memory are her 3 daughters Catherine Jackson DeAtley and husband Ted DeAtley of Fort Bragg, Ca., Patricia Jackson of Ukiah and Kimberly Jackson Rodallegas of Ukiah, two granddaughters Emily and husband David Rodriquez of Redwood Valley, Ca. and Alisha Friar of Fort Bragg, Ca, two great grandchildren David and Jackie Rodriguez of Redwood Valley, Ca. Julia also leaves behind one brother Roy Simon and wife Jewel Simon of Marysville, Ca., three sisters Margaret Wenger and husband Dale of Santa Cruz, Ca., Beth Simon of Fresno, Ca. and Joann Simon of Kansas. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The family prefers memorial donations to Hospice of Ukiah. Inurnment will take place at the Ukiah Cemetery.
At Julia’s request no services will be held.
