Jason Eugene Pugh, 51, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Ukiah, California. Born on September 18, 1974, in Killeen, Texas, Jason lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and passions.
Jason worked as an ink technician for over two decades, specializing in creating cap labels for wine bottles. His exceptional talent for color matching was unparalleled; he had an innate ability to know exactly what hue to add to achieve perfection. His career reflected his meticulous nature and creative spirit.
Jason’s life was enriched by many hobbies and interests. He spent countless hours on and around the ballfields and gridirons of Mendocino County, as well as on the couch, rooting for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. He found joy in camping and spending time outdoors. Whether exploring the redwood groves or basking in the serene grandeur of the Pacific Ocean, Jason was most at home when surrounded by nature. He had a deep affection for animals, and they loved him back. He had a well-honed appreciation for music of all varieties and for automobiles of the lowrider variety.
Those who knew Jason will remember him as a charismatic, gentle soul with a unique sense of humor and style. His smile could light up a room and touch hearts from afar. His charm was a force of nature. He wasn’t afraid to express his love openly, and his devotion to his family was boundless.
Jason is survived by his father, Buddy Pugh; his children, Joe Pugh and Alisa Pugh; his stepson, Tyler McMinn; his sister Margaret Green and her husband Anthony Green; and his nephew Alex Green. He was predeceased by his grandmother Patricia Johnson, grandfather Ken Johnson, mother Julie Johnson, and stepsister Christina Wride.
Jason’s memory will forever be cherished by those who loved him. May his legacy of love and laughter bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know him. A Service will be held on April 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Eversole Mortuary 141 Low Gap Rd
