Larry Philip Lynch

Larry Philip Lynch, passed away on May 31, 2026, in his hometown of Ukiah, California. Born on February 4, 1942, Larry had many passions in life. None more important than his commitment to his wife and family.

After serving in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1963, Larry began his career working alongside his Uncle Joe at General Electric. From there, he worked at Wonder Bread before venturing into entrepreneurship with his father-in-law, Ralph Peters which became Peter's & Lynch Menswear, a business he ran until 1983. After closing the store in 1983, he then returned to Wonder Bread and subsequently concluded his working years at the Mendocino County Farm Supply.

Those who knew Larry remember his warm sense of humor and exceptional skills as a barbecuer. He loved gardening and entertaining at his cherished home. An avid outdoorsman, Larry loved to hunt and fish, always relishing the time spent in nature and especially treasuring camping trips with his family and friends.

Larry’s family was central to his life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn Lynch. His children—daughter Diann Lucchetti and her husband Frank, as well as his son Steve Lynch, Adrienne Johnston and her husband Chuck, and Sandy Hart with her husband Brian. His brother, Bobby Lynch, and his wife, Jeannie. Larry's grandchildren – Chase Lynch and his wife Cortney, Kennedy Lynch, Wyatt Lucchetti, Olivia Lucchetti, Scott Hart, Megan Neil, Jodie Akin and her husband Kurt, Justin Johnston and his wife Courtney – along with nieces Tami Lynch and Amanda Motarjeme with her husband Gregg, and a circle of great-nieces, nephews, and ten great-grandchildren continue to be the living extensions of the family he treasured.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents: mother Dora Lynch, her longtime partner Fred Pastaga, and father Darrell Lynch, and his wife Phoebie.

Larry’s life was a testament of devotion—to his country, his career, and most importantly, his loved ones. He will be deeply missed and remembered by his wife, family and friends.
