Larry Myers

Larry Myers was born on May 28, 1939, in Hebron Nebraska to Jerry and Lucille Myers. Larry, Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather. Larry passed away unexpectedly peacefully on April 5, 2026. Larry grew up in Downey, Ca. Larry and Jill went to Downey High School and graduated in 1957. Larry and Jill got married in 1958. They are the parents to children Joanne and Brad. Larry went to USC to become a Pharmacist and graduated in1965. After many years living in La Palma, CA and working in downtown LA, Larry and Jill decided to move north to Ukiah CA in 1971. In 1981 Larry and Jill opened their own pharmacy Myers Apothecary Shop. Larry’s favorite things to do were waterskiing with his family at Lake Mendocino and snow skiing at Northstar. Larry was a Charter member of the South Ukiah Rotary Club. In Rotary, Larry was a past District Governor of District 5130 in Northern California. Larry had polio when he was 6 yrs old. It was Larry’s firm belief that every child should be immunized against polio. In Rotary, Larry was the chairman of the Polio Eradication Committee for District 5130. Larry personally raised 21 million for the Worldwide Eradication of Polio. His dream came true.

Larry is survived by his wife Jill of 66 years, daughter Joanne (Ken Doyle), Jennifer (BJ Nelson), Great Granddaughters Kristina and Rachel, Justin Doyle and Great Granddaughter Jacqueline, son Brad Myers (Becky), Allison and Dean, sister-in-law Kim Ostler and family.

There will be a Celebration of Life and reception following on Friday, April 17 at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 1337 South Dora St., Ukiah CA.
