Obituary:
Memorial services for Steven Therlow Lightel of Redwood Valley will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Ukiah Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Mr. Jimmy Painter officiating. Steven passed away at his home on July 11, 2015.
Born June 19, 1950 in Healdsburg, Steven went to Loma Linda University receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Geology. He has resided in the area for the past 59 years. Steven was a caregiver. He had a great love of learning. He studied mathematics, geology, theology, chemistry and anything he could read. He was an active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He will be remembered for his mischief in youth and his kindness as an adult.
He is survived by his mother Eunice Lightel, sister Sondra Carlstedt, niece Carlee Lightel and great niece Sylvia Fogle. He was preceded in death by his father Therlow Lightel.
Memorial contributions to the Dorcas Society or the Redwood Valley/Calpella Volunteer Fire Department are preferred.
