Luisa Nieto Arreguin
August 25, 1933 – April 5, 2026
Luisa Nieto Arreguin, age 92, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026. She was born on August 25, 1933, in Chamacuaro, Guanajuato, Mexico, and lived a life defined by love, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family.
Luisa is survived by her beloved husband of over 70 years, Joel Arreguin, whose enduring bond and deep love with her stood as a beautiful example of lifelong commitment. Together, they built a family rooted in devotion and resilience.
She leaves behind her cherished children: daughters Yolanda Lopez, Margarita Lopez, and Consuelo Waggle; sons Miguel Arreguin and Arturo Arreguin; as well as many grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love, tradition, and strength. She is preceded in death by one son, Ralph Arreguin and one grandson, Ronnie Arreguin.
Luisa was a devoted wife and mother, known for her tremendous work ethic and the warmth she brought into her home. She was especially famous among family and friends for making what many lovingly called the best tamales and chile verde north of the border—meals that nourished not only the body, but the soul.
A fierce and strong protector, Luisa’s greatest pride was her family. She guided her children with courage, stood by them with unwavering support, and loved them with all her heart. Her presence was a source of comfort, her wisdom a steady guide, and her love a lasting gift.
Luisa’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the traditions she passed down, and the love she so freely gave. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
