Marlene Edythe Turri

Edythe “Marlene” Turri, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed peacefully with her daughter and grandson by her side, on May 5, 2024, at the age of 88.

Marlene has now joined her life partner - Darrell Billups, who passed away only 12 days before her. They resided in Redwood Valley California.

She was born September 12, 1935, in long Beach, California. At a young age the family moved to Mendocino country, where she lived the rest of her life. Marlene enjoyed the outdoors, camping, gardening, gold mining, sewing, canning, baking, and attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s many activities.

Marlene is survived by her sister Pat, brother Pete, daughter Jackie, son Bobby, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  In addition, she is survived by 2 stepsons Gene and David Turri, along with their extended families.

Marlene is preceded in death by her parents (Leonard Sadler and Edythe Marie Lytle) her daughter Micky, Eugene Turri, Sr. (spouse), Darrell L. Turri (stepson) and Darrell S. Billups (Life Partner).

She will be laid to rest with her mother and grandfather, along with her daughter Micky in the family plot in the Ukiah cemetery.

Marlene requested no services, however anyone wishing to remember Marlene – is encouraged to consider donating to the Mendocino County Cancer Resource Society - in Marlene’s memory. This organization was dear to her heart.
