Mary Ellen Jackson

Mary Ellen Jackson went to meet our Heavenly Father on May 26, 2024.

She was born on February 13, 1945 in Joiner, Arkansas. Throughout her 79 years, Mary was known and cherished as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Mary is survived by her husband of 61 years, Howard Jackson, as well as their son John Jackson, their daughter Kim Stophlet and son-in-law Dan Stophlet. She leaves her legacy of love behind to her 7 grandchildren: Ryan, Jennifer, Amy, Jenae, Mandi, Shelbi and Blake. Arguably her most dear surviving lineage are her 12 great-grandchildren: Macie, Braelyn, Austin, Mollie, Karlee-Jo, Evelyn, Callum, Derek, Logan, Maggie, Wells and Zoe. She is also survived by her brother David Foley Sr., as well as sister-in-law Sadie Foley and extended family. She was predeceased in death by her parents, John and Daisy Foley, brothers Buford and Shelby Foley, and sisters Carolyn Nolan and Velma Bodine.

The happiest part of Mary’s life was once she began to share it with her husband Howard. Together they enjoyed baseball, dancing, parties with friends and family, bowling, music, trips to the beach and attending church as their family grew. Life grew to revolve around the ever-growing family. Fond memories include family reunions, travel for sporting events, trips to Reno, Florida, Hawaii and Mexico, attending ceremonies and plays for the children, and the way her laugh would carry through the home.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Russian River Cemetery District in Ukiah on Monday, June 3rd at 11:00 am. There will be refreshments and a time to share memories immediately following at the Manor Oaks Clubhouse.
