Obituary:
Alexander Adam Mayda passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He was born on March 4, 1931 in San Francisco, California to Joseph and Sophia Mayda. He graduated from Healds College and received a degree in Architecture. He worked in architecture and civil engineering for over 35 years. He married his sweetheart Lora Jean Hansen in 1959 they were together for 21 years. They cherished their 2 daughters Zophia and Sharlene. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Sophia, brothers Theodore and George, and his loving wife Lora Jean. Alex is survived by his children Zophia Kilbourn and Sharlene Kaye, son-in-law Leo Kaye, and grandsons Justin and Cody Kaye. Alex had a philanthropic nature and gave humbly and often anonymously. There will be a memorial service at a later date. Alex’s request in lieu of flowers would be to make contributions to any of the following charities: St. Judes Childrens’ Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital, or Doctors without Border in his memory. The family would like to thank all of the caring people at Mountain View Assisted Living for the past two and half years and Holy Spirit Care home in Ukiah. Their tremendous loving care for Alex and support towards us was a blessing to all of us, during this difficult journey. Arrangements are under the direction of the Eversole Mortuary.
