June Fern Miller -Born Dec.23,1921-July16,2015
They say with great patience comes great reward. That's how June Fern Miller lived her life. Born December 23,1921 June would grow up to have to face some of the most difficult moments for a woman in American history. June Married Dorance Hiram Miller who was called out to serve his country in the US Army during World War II, during a time of depression and poverty,he would send his paycheck back home to June every week. Sacrificing next to nothing for himself to make sure his family would have food on the table and a roof over their heads,unlike many families who lost their homes due to the depression . Well guess what that Big Blue Eyed Woman would show her husband the same sacrifice and dedication and make sure her family would come out ontop, she was definitely the matriarch of the family. While patiently waiting for her husbands safe return, June got a job and saved every penny. She made due with what little Dorance sent. When her husband finally came home from the war she had enough and they put a down payment on their first house. Dorance passed away in 2010 just shy their 69th anniversary. They traveled all over the world and enjoyed raising their children Lynda,Sue, and David along with the many grandchildren they loved and adored. June once made a comment that she hoped she had left a dent in this world yet didn’t think she did, but June lived a life most of us couldn’t dream was possible to even try. She definitely left an inspirational dent to the ones thats counted the most to her and the ones that counted the most to her were her world. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Eversole Mortuary.
