Pamela Elizabeth Zaste

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Pamela Elizabeth Zaste.

Known lovingly as Mom, Gram, Wing Gamma, Sister, & Auntie, Pam went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 29th, 2026 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was 78 years old.

Pam was born on November 14, 1947 in Ukiah, California. She was an Elder of the Guidiville Indian Rancheria and was a wealth of knowledge of the tribes’ histories, customs, and culture. She was known far and wide for her deep love of God and family and was who everyone came to for prayer, guidance, encouragement, or a hot meal. If she wasn’t Mom, Gram, or Wing Gamma - she was Auntie to all who knew her.

Pamela is survived by her daughter Joan Pickron and her son Gregory Zaste; her brother Keith Pike; her grandchildren Julian Pickron and wife Courtney, Damian Pickron, Jordan Zaste, Roger Zaste, Ernest Zaste IV, Eran Zaste, Aaliyah Gee, Callie Zaste, Naomi Zaste, William Zaste, and Cooper Zaste; her great grandchildren Cameron Pickron and Jayci Pickron; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son Ernest Peter Zaste III; parents Lawrence Pike and Minerva Cooper; siblings Joanne, John, Ernie, Pat, Dorothy, and Merlene; and her niece Angela.

There are no words to describe the impact she’s placed on all who knew and loved her. We will miss her terribly and love her eternally.

We welcome all to bid farewell to Pam on Friday, November 6th, 2026 from 3pm to 8pm at Eversole Mortuary. There will be a private family cremation to follow.
