Betty Darlene Patten (Simpson), of Laytonville, California departed from life in her home in Laytonville, California, on July 3, 2016. Betty was born in Crescent City, California on April 6, 1936. She and her family moved to Alameda, California where she grew up until the age of 16. She relocated to West Virginia, where she resided until 1960, she then returned to her home in Alameda County. Betty built a lucrative catering business and married Gilbert E. Patten whom she was married to for 30 years and she became a widower in 2001. Betty was a world traveler and avid San Francisco 49ers fan. Betty is survived by her mate of 10 years Fred C. Rouse, her niece Thela Wimmer (Granger) and her husband Bob Wimmer, three sons and many more family members and friends. We will be having a memorial service for Betty D. Patten at Harwood Hall in Laytonville, on July 24, 2016, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and would love to have family and friends come and share special stories with us about your life connection with Betty.
