Wayne Earl Pittman

Memorial services for Wayne Earl Pittman of Ukiah will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11 am at Eversole Mortuary with a potluck reception to follow at New Life Community Church. Wayne passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at UVMC with his family by his side. Born December 15, 1933 in Ukiah, Wayne graduated from Ukiah High School in 1951. He married Lorraine Harper on April 10, 1953. Wayne worked at the Savings Bank of Mendocino County for 40 years starting as a bookkeeper, later promoted to cashier then Vice-President of HR. He served as Chairman of the Board for the Russian River Cemetery District, Redwood Valley Grange and was Past Master of Shalom Arabian Horse Association. He cofounded the Shalom Arabian Horse Association, organized the annual ESSMC Art and Wine Show and was an Easter Seal Society of Mendocino County Board Member. He will be remembered for his love of his family and children. He loved animals, especially horses and dogs. He was a friend and mentor of many. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorraine Pittman of Ukiah, daughter Leslie Pittman and husband David Chack, sons Erick Pittman and wife Longling of Ukiah, Mark Pittman and wife Patty of Ridgefield, WA, brother Donald Pittman of Ukiah, grandchildren Kelly Anne Healy of Clinton, IA, Catherine Pittman of Los Angeles, Nicholas Pittman of Chicago, IL and Matthew Pittman of Ridgefield, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents Edythe Swim Pittman and William “Bill” Pittman and by his brother Gary Pittman.
Memorial contributions to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of California 6055 E Washington Blvd, Ste 350 Los Angeles, CA 90040 (323-887-0056) are preferred.
