Obituary:
Paul S. Richey, age 58, of Ukiah CA, passed away on January 30, 2015 following a lengthy battle with ALS. Paul was born in Ukiah on April 1, 1956 to Lloyd and Doris Richey. On Oct. 4, 1986 Paul married Mary Alice Trevithick from Geraldine MT. They raised two children together in Ukiah.
Paul chose to live for God as a child and continued faithfully until his passing. Since a young child he had a great fascination with flying and obtained his pilot’s license at age 16. He began working at the Ukiah City Airport while still in high school, and retired from there 33 ½ years later as airport manager.
Paul is survived by his wife Mary, children Rebecca and Reuben; his parents Lloyd and Doris Richey; his siblings Allen (Wanda) Richey and Donna (James) Hinkle, 17 nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins and a multitude of family and friends. He was predeceased by his infant son, Ryan.
The family wishes to especially thank the caregivers, friends, family and members of the Ukiah medical community for their generous help, support and care during the past ten years.
He will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at Lake Mendocino Clubhouse, 1500 Lake Mendocino Dr. Sat. Feb. 7, 2015 at 1:00 PM
