Funeral services for Thelma Jeanne Roach of Seaside, Oregon will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11 am at the Eversole Mortuary in Ukiah. Entombment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Thelma passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009 in Seaside.
Born April 23, 1919 in Westport, California, Thelma graduated from Fort Bragg High School in 1937. She married Melvin Roach in 1938 and they had one son. She was a bookkeeper for Hildebrand Logging and the County of Mendocino where she resided for 70 years. Thelma took great pride in her family. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and cooking. She loved dogs. She will be remembered for her spirited personality.
Thelma is survived by her grandsons David Roach of Hockinson, Washington, William Roach of Gearhart, Oregon, daughter-in-law Carol Roach of Willits, sisters Elody Masolini, Maureen Killlion both of Fort Bragg, Sharon Rubio of Redwood Valley, brother James Fee of Fort Bragg and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Lyda Fee, husband Melvin Roach, son Patrick Roach, sister Pauline Dumas, brothers Robert and William Fee and grandson Kevin Roach.
