He also leaves behind his sister, Janie (Gary), nephew Brian Arneson, niece Lisa Minniefield, nephew Eddie Bollig (Terri), nephew Kevin Leonard and partner Chica and several great nephews, great niece and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Irene and his sister Ann Arneson. Bob graduated from Ukiah High School in 1969, the University of California Berkeley in 1973 and married his love of his life, Suzie, on August 18, 1973. Bob’s career spanned from Carosel Carpets to Parducci Winery to the Mendocino County Assessor’s Office. Bob was actively involved in the Ukiah Men’s Softball League, both as a player and umpire. After softball he enjoyed golfing with his buddies Phil Gorny, Bill Bartrum, Steve Miller, Eric Barkhurst, Bob Morgan, Ray Hall and Brian Bechtol. Bob was very involved in the Ukiah Men’s Golf Club and also served as Handicap Chairman.
Over the years, Bob enjoyed traveling to time shares in Mazatlan and Kauai and cruising to many far away destinations. Bob LOVED music especially rock and roll and blues. He was a great fan of Jethro Tull, Jimmy Thackery and Tom Petty. He was a very passionate and dedicated Cal Bears, S.F. Giants, 49er and Warrior’s fan and loved watching Judge Judy because she reminded him of his mother!
Bob requested no services but on May 5, 2024 from noon until 5pm there will be a huge “Hardie Party” for all to share their stories and remembrances at Ukiah Valley Golf Course (599 Park Blvd., Ukiah 95482).
