Ronald Tillman Barnes

Ron passed away peacefully March 19, 2026, at his home in Ukiah surrounded by his family.

He was born July 6, 1941, in Hopland, Ca to Clyde and Leatha Barnes. He joined the Navy in1960. In 1964, while his ship was docked in Boston for repairs, he met his wife Anne and after his tour was over he and Anne were married October 3, 1964.

He was employed as a security guard with Masonite for a few years before, he started working in their door manufacturing section. He worked for Masonite for over 20 years. After he retired Ron and Anne loved to spend time seeing the United States in their motorhome. They visited family in Kanas and Pennsylvania. His favorite place to visit was the Crazy Horse Monument in South Dakota.

Ron is survived by his wife Anne; son David Barnes (Mary) and daughter Lori Speas (Skip). Grandchildren Colton Speas (Jessica), Casey Rolfe (Sebastian), Conner Speas, and Wil Barnes. He also shares his birthday with his Great Granddaughter Emelia Rolfe.

He is preceded in death by his father Clyde, his mother Leatha, sister Darlene, brother Robert and nephew Ricky.

The family has decided to forgo any services.
