Ronald Lee Snyder

Ronald Lee Snyder age 68, died while driving in the Mendocino National Forest.  He was born on March 14, 1957, in Los Angeles, CA to parents Robert L. and Mary E. Snyder. In 1965 the family moved to Ukiah where he grew up. He loved to build things, and at the age of 17 got a job with Kennedy Construction.  He did not yet own a vehicle, and the contractor said Ron was the only construction employee he ever had who rode his bicycle to the jobsite. He was a licensed general contractor for many years. He was a volunteer for the forestry service while living at Lake Pillsbury and had received belt buckles for his service. Ron loved exploring the back roads wherever he went and loved the freedom his old truck afforded him.  He is predeceased by his father, and sister, Kerry Lynn.  He is survived by his mother, and siblings Michael Dale Snyder (Leslie), Patrick Lloyd Snyder, and Mary Kathleen Snyder (Jeffrey) and nephews and nieces Trent Snyder, Greg Snyder, Jessica Sylvia, Melissa Osman, George Lowden, Robert Spharler, and Michael Spharler.  Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Russian River Cemetery in Ukiah.
