Obituary:
MaryJune Rose was born on June 20, 1923 to Emile and Ona Ritter in Ross, CA and passed away
peacefully on July 4, 2016 in Ukiah CA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years,
George Rose, her sister Alberta Griggs, her son Russell Rose, and her granddaughter Rachel
Rose. MaryJune, known to many as Granny, loved travel, flowers, animals, music and most of
all, her family. With her husband, she traveled the world. MaryJune lived a very long and full
life. She worked at The Ukiah Daily Journal in the 1960's. She then worked for
the County of Mendocino before retiring in 1985. In her post retirement, she worked part time
as the secretary for the Ukiah Methodist Church and then joined the Ukiah Senior Center
overseeing the travel program. She went on to open her own travel business, The Ukiah
Traveleers and hosted trips locally and abroad.
She is survived by her daughter Karla (and Kenn) Koch, her grandchildren: Karin Koch Harris,
Kevin Koch, Andrew and Alan Rose and her great grandchildren: Robert, James, Alex, and
Elizabeth Harris, and Karter, Kessler and Kamble Koch.
Funeral services will be held at Eversole Mortuary on July 11, 2016 at 2:30 pm.
