Obituary:
Susan Rebecca Rosensteel “Becky” age 59 of Potter Valley Ca. has brightened heaven with her passing on September 8th 2017, after a long battle with cancer.
Becky was born In Guam, May 29th 1958. She was the daughter of Lt. Colonel Robert Fraser Payne and Sue Payne Kahler. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Richard Rosensteel, their wonderful son Jason Paul Rosensteel, lovely daughter Amanda Sue Butler, son-in-law David Richard Butler, and two very sweet granddaughters, Madelyn Sue Butler and Abigail Riley Butler. Becky also leaves behind brother Steven Payne and sister Jennifer Ewing.
Becky devoted her life to helping students in high school reach their goals while working for Elk Grove, Ukiah and Potter Valley school districts. Her specialties were Math and Sciences and motivating students to achieve and reach their marks toward graduation. She coached Varsity and JV girls high soccer and also coached many teams in the community sports programs as well as many volunteer duties.
Becky was a dedicated mother, friend, and incredible wife.
Becky’s life has had such a profound impact on so many, which she did with grace, kindness, and true dedication. Her constant smile would brighten any situation, she always said “life is a bowl of cherries”. She will be forever missed.

A celebration of life is planned for SEPTEMBER 30, at 1PM, Potter Valley high school Gym. We are hoping you will attend to share memories of an absolutely wonderful person.
Becky and her family would like to thank our PGE family, our Potter Valley family, the Webster Oncology Dr. Baron and Nurses, CPMC Pacific Heights Hospital, the Ukiah volunteer Hospice, and all who supported us during this difficult time. Our appreciation cannot say enough to all the wonderful people that were there for us.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Eversole Mortuary.
