Sharon Lee Poma

Sharon Lee Poma was born on January 30, 1946, and peacefully passed from this life on April 25, 2026. She was the second daughter born to Emil and Olga Poma in Redwood Valley. She lived most of her life in Redwood Valley, where she was a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt. In her younger years, she was an avid horse rider and was a member of the Redwood Riders group. Sharon graduated from Ukiah High in 1964 and worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Pioneer, Dunning and Assoc., Reliable Mill Supply, and the Ukiah Daily Journal. Then she and her sister took over the hands-on running of their parents' vineyard, where Sharon drove a tractor and did as much of the manual labor as she could, and took care of her parents at the same time. When it became too much, the farm was sold, and Sharon spent time tending gardens and enjoying her family and friends, particularly her lunch bunch. Sharon is survived by her sister Joyce Myers, niece Andrea (Mike), Lindsay, and Martin Werra. She was also close to Charley and Marie Myers, Lori and Kevin Broin. She had many cousins she loved dearly, Lisa Ray, Diane Champion , David Poma, Bruce Poma, and Scott Poma (and their families), as well as her Gunderson cousins. Sharon was very grateful to Jody Gordon for her help, and Dr. Kimberly Faucher for her care. At Sharon’s request, there will be no services.
