Obituary:
Claire Adabelle Snider (Sappingfield) passed away peacefully July 9, 2021 in Ukiah, CA. Born 2-23-1923 in Fields Landing, CA. The youngest of 5 girls, she lived most of her young and adult life in Santa Rosa where she met and married George Paul Snider July 1944 while he was home for weekend leave during WW II. Claire had three children. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter Sandra in 2019. Survived by Carol Hallman (David) and Paul Cody (Cynthia). Preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, survived by 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Claire loved school and earned a degree to become an elementary school teacher and taught many years in Sonoma County. While living in Idaho in 1970’s she was a real estate broker with Century 21. Claire always loved traveling and was fortunate enough to have visited many countries and nations of the world. Graveside services will be held at Ukiah Cemetery, 940 Low Gap Rd, Ukiah, CA 95482 Monday, July 19, 2021 at 11:00. Donations may be given to charity of choice or to American Cancer society.
