Obituary:
Jonathan Jesse Stickels, Sr., passed away Tuesday evening November 17, 2009 at home, embraced by his loved ones. He was 55 years old. He lived the majority of his life as a resident of Mendocino County. He was a man devoted to his family, a close circle of friends and to a continual pursuit of knowledge. He will be tremendously missed by his family: His loving wife Shelley, his brother Dan and sisters Laurie & Flora, his wonderful children: Jesse & Jennifer; Jonathan & Amber; Jody & Jonelle; Michael & Emmelia; Josiah & Nathan; Brandon & Kayte; and Elizabeth and by his most cherished grandchildren: Noah, Brittney, Jessalyn, Steven, Haley, Trinity, Joden, Jaymen and Abram. Another precious granddaughter is expected in these next several weeks to join his beautiful family.
Jonathan was a truly amazing man, full of humor, who led our hearts to the love, acceptance and forgiveness of others and stood fast in his trust in Jesus. The care of the family was always his most important goal. He will remain a blessing for us all.
As we mourn and miss him so deeply, we are assured of the release of his pain and the worries of this world as he rests securely in Jesus.
Jonathan – your laughter, your strength, your smile, your uniqueness and very presence will be sorely missed. We are all better people for having you in our lives. You have taught us so much and loved us so completely. Rest in peace, we love you.
