Obituary:
Retired Deputy Chief John Teie passed away suddenly early Monday October 17, 2016, in Ukiah Valley Medical Center. His family was with him when he passed. John was born Andrew John Teie on 2/2/43 and is survived by his brother William Teie, wife Sandra Kay Teie, 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He had a long career with the California Department of Forestry, and loved working with the loggers and environmentalists. Every Saturday morning you would find John at every yard sale in the Ukiah Valley. He was also a very talented wood worker, he could create anything. He will be missed by all, but especially by his family. The family is having a celebration of life at Eversoles Mortuary on 11/5/2016 at 1pm. A gathering afterwards will be at the Fine Arts building at the Ukiah Fairgrounds.
