Thomas E. Tompkins

Funeral services for Thomas E. Tompkins of Ukiah will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 1 pm at the Eversole Mortuary. Interment will follow at Ukiah Cemetery. Thomas passed away at his home on Thursday, December 24, 2009 surrounded by his family.
Born August 17, 1928 in Warren, Ohio, Thomas received his AA Degree and served his country in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He retired from the military after 20 years of service. He was an avid military historian. Thomas will be remembered as a generous, kind person, a great husband, father and grandfather. Favorite quote, “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.”
Thomas is survived by his wife of 57 years, Milea Tompkins of Ukiah, daughters Teresa and Colette Tompkins of Lake County and Petaluma, son Thomas Giovanni Tompkins of Petaluma, sister Joyce of Florida, brother Richard of Florida and grandchildren Nicholas and Alexandra Tompkins of Petaluma.
Memorial contributions to Ukiah Hospice are preferred.
