Wayne E. Urich
Memorial services for Wayne E. Urich of Ukiah will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 10:30 am at the Ukiah Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wayne passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 25, 2009.
Born October 13, 1931 in Iowa, Wayne served his country in both the US Navy and Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Sperry Univac then worked for A.M.& D. for many years.
Wayne was very active in the LDS Church and its genealogy library and the Boy Scouts of America where he was a Silver Beaver Award winner. He was a member of the American Legion Post 76.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 58 years, Orma of Ukiah, daughters Valray Shields of Hanford, Gloria Urich of Willits, son Ed Urich of Sparks, Nevada, daughter-in-law Jeanne Urich of Boise, Idaho, brothers Jack and Paul, grandchildren David, Nicolas, James, Aaron, Ryan, Jason, Kandice and Timothy and great grandchildren Tristan, Rylan and Austin. He was preceded in death by his son Rick Urich.
In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to your local Firefighter, Police Associations or the Boy Scouts of America.
