Obituary:
Adolfo Vargas of Ukiah passed away July 23rd in his home at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife Esperanza Mata; 3 children, Cecilia Vargas of Ukiah, Lino Vargas of San Diego, CA and Javier Vargas of Sacramento, CA; 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Nydia, Quentin, Nicholas and Gianna; great grandchildren Harmony & Lily. Adolfo was born in Barranquilla de Agua, Jal., Mex near Arandas on June 8, 1935 to Teodoro Vargas and Rosa Camarena. Following the path of his father and grandfather, Adolfo came to the US to work under the Bracero Program in the 1950s. In the 1960s he brought his family to permanently live with him in Redwood Valley and later Ukiah. He worked for 35+ years and retired from the Fetzer Family at their winery and vineyards. He will be missed by his family and community. The service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Eversole Mortuary. Interment will follow at Ukiah Cemetery.
