Virginia Lee Bartleson (Testa) a cherished wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and auntie, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on December 20, 1946, in Ukiah, California, to Charles and Lena Testa (Landini), Virginia grew up in the close-knit community of Calpella. A proud graduate of Ukiah High School’s Class of 1964, she carried the warmth and spirit of her hometown throughout her life.
Virginia shared 35 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Charles Bartleson, creating a life filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. She was a dedicated mother to her son, Chris Cliburn, and a loving mother-in-law to Josefina Guevara. Virginia’s heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren—Melissa Fleetwood (Thomas), Phillip Cliburn, Giovanni Cliburn, and Charlie Cliburn (Emylia Ruffin)—and her great-grandchildren, Eleanora, Isabela Fleetwood, and Noah Cliburn, who brought her immeasurable joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lena Testa, and her grandparents, Pietro and Teresa Landini, and Gaetano and Maria Testa. Virginia is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Bartleson; her sister, Charlene Testa; and a wide circle of cousins and extended family who will forever hold her memory dear. Known for her kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family, Virginia’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A family gathering at Testa Ranch on August 3 at Noon will be held to honor and celebrate her remarkable life
