Obituary:
John Scott Winter passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at his home in Ukiah, Ca. He was born
August 9, 1952 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Robert and Eleanor (Lewis) Winter. John grew
up in southern California, and moved to the area in 1981. He worked for Grosso vineyards, then
Pauli vineyards / pear orchards until 1987. He then worked at Potter Valley Unified School
District for many years as a custodian, then 15 years as a Fire Extinguisher Technician for Ukiah
Oxygen. His favorite hobby was fishing. You could almost always find him relaxing at a lake on the weekend. John is survived by his daughter Rebecca Winter, sons Jeremy and Benjamin Winter, his brother Robert “Bruce” Winter, ex-wife Susan Winter, and grandsons Noah and Elliott Winter. His family will be having a private service at a later time. Arrangements are under the care of Eversole Mortuary.
