Doris Faye Dooley - age: 80
(August 17, 1929 to May 26, 2010 ) Resident of Hopland, California Obituary: Doris Faye Dooley She was born Doris Faye Moles in Thurman, Iowa, Fremont County, August 17, 1929. She and her family came to Oregon in 1942 and settled around Salem. She grew up around Independence and then Scotts Mills, Oregon. She married in 1946 and had four children: Dean, Jimmie, Janna and JoAnna. She married again in 1957 and had two more children: Marsha and Marty. She married again in 1961 and gained two stepsons: Warren and Kim Dooley. The third marriage was a charm. Marvin “Bud” and our mother have been married 51 years. Their goal was to get all of the children through high school. Together they made their goal, but it took lots of years. Those were the hard years. No one loved their children, grand children and great grandchildren more than their mother. Bud and Doris enjoyed their 51 years together. They water skied, fished and hunted up until bad health problems took over. Her favorite quote; “Bud, come here!!!” She was a true member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Weight Club, TOPS of Ukiah Chapter CA#834 and the Santa Rosa Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved anything that had to do with history. She was friends with everyone and loved them all. Doris is survived by her husband Marvin “Bud” Dooley of Hopland, daughters Janna Boomer and husband Mike of Willits, JoAnna Compton and husband Gene of Tampa, Florida, Marsha Robinson and husband Mark of Hopland, sons Dean Rose and wife Joan of Boonville, Jim Rose and wife Nancey of Hopland, Marty Gower and wife Kathi of Hopland, step-sons Warren and Kim Dooley, sister Mary Mossi of Ukiah, sister-in-law Roselanda Moles of Ukiah, 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews including her favorite niece Beth Santos. She was preceded in death by her sisters Lois Fulmer, Annabelle Baity and by her brothers Lloyd Moles, Carrol Moles and Ray Moles. Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Eversole Mortuary. |

R.I.P. Gramma Doo, I know you are in a better place where pain no longer exists. You served your purpose here on Earth and touched many hearts. You will be truly missed and never forgotten. Thank you for being you, God obviously knew he was missing the angel he needed... O:-)

Doris Faye Dooley was my Grandfather Ray Moles sister. I remember her well. She was around Scotts Mills OR allot when I was a little girl. The last time I saw her was either at my step fathers or my mothers memorial. I just know she took my hand and held it a while right after the service. My blessings and love to the family!
Renee "Moles" Marks.
